Kaleshi Art

Priyanka is a self-proclaimed art-obsessed hobby collector. If it’s visually creative, she’s probably dabbled in it. What started from her early beginnings exploring calligraphy, origami, card making, paper quilling, collages, oil pastels, and watercolors has now evolved into my journey of making glass art, oil paintings, linocut prints, handmade paper, polymer clay sculptures, mosaics, animations, stickers, magnets, and so much more! Priyanka loves diving into different materials and techniques to bring my colorful visions to life.

Kaleshi is her little corner of chaos where art shakes things up. The name itself means “stirring things up in devilish ways,” and that’s exactly what Priyanka aims to do: challenge norms and celebrate our quirks. When making art, she spends a lot of her time experimenting, reiterating, and playfully evolving her ideas. By the time Priyanka has her “final” piece, she’s usually made about 10-15 versions of the same thing. Her art is a wild mashup of her South Asian Desi heritage and some groovy ’70s vibes. Think vibrant colors, funky patterns, and a whole lot of soul. She’s lived in Mumbai, Dubai, and now the US, so her work is this crazy quilt of experiences, stitched together with love and a splash of rebellion. As a sapphic, non-binary, neurodivergent person of color, her pieces tell stories from a life lived in full technicolor.

By day, Priyanka is a software engineer and product designer, but when the sun sets, she disappears into her art. Fun fact: she once hit pause on university life to meditate in the mountains. It changed the way she looks at life and art, gave her a fresh perspective, and a big dose of inspiration.

Having made art in various forms all her life, Priyanka is still pretty new to the art scene professionally, but she has been given the opportunity to share her art at local galleries and pop-up markets, which has been an absolute blast. It’s amazing to see people connect with her art and to feel like she’s starting to make her mark. Priyanka can’t wait to keep sharing her journey, one extravagant piece at a time.

Dope shit only, please.
