TJ, The Creative is from South Bend, IN who discovered her love for painting in 2018. She believes every one is a creative and has their own form of art. Poetry, music, dance, paint on a canvas; any expression of one’s self. TJ expresses her work through a paint brush and canvas. She utilizes images from her everyday life and creates abstract paintings of unidentified black women and men. Her work celebrates black joy and love, amplifies black culture, and brings awareness to black trauma.

TJ, The Creative’s work has been featured in DTSB Art Beat 2022, Grapevine Indy, and 1000 Words Art Gallery Open House. She has also put together her first solo art show in August 2023.
