Yeabsera Tabb is a multi-disciplinary artist who works with printmaking, sculpture, textiles, mixed media, sound, and video immersive experiences. She explores themes of place, identity, freedom, and immigration. She draws inspiration from patterns seen in her African heritage, lived experiences, history, individual and collective memory, and nature. She’s worked with wood, ethiopian textiles, found objects, various natural dyes, and embroidery to illustrate the tension of time and memory tied to physical places, and our identity embedded in our upbringing, and built environment.
