Designed to center and accelerate creative businesses in cities, In the Mix is GANGGANG’s signature commercial real estate and retail initiative. The program provides direct investment and space to eligible business owners, in addition to connecting participants with specific resources and partners based on individual needs.
Accelerating creative Black-owned businesses downtown

Retail strategy designed to build vibrancy and equity in vacant spaces.
Historically, there have been barriers to entry for Black-owned businesses opening physical storefronts in downtowns, a problem In the Mix was designed to solve for. Common factors contributing to this disparity are a lack of intentional brokering, lack of access to capital for creative entrepreneurs, accessible space, and formal support. In the Mix participants lead in their creative vision and have access to unprecedented resources in legal, marketing, finance, business coaching and mentoring, ensuring long-term success and much-needed vibrancy in city centers.

GANGGANG puts creative entrepreneurs in the mix.
People follow signs of life, cities with street-level retail and activity that make neighborhoods and nodes more vibrant. The creatives have always been the ones to spark movement and energy in a place and are often the ones then priced-out of what they made happen. In the Mix identifies creative entrepreneurs making cities where people want to be.
We match as many creative business owners with vacant spaces as possible toward more opportunity for all.
